Lake Superior Regional – Duluth, MN:

The Lake Superior Regional (LSR) was our first of the season, so naturally, things didn’t go to plan. Despite our best efforts, we placed 48th of 62 teams, winning 2 of the 9 matches that we played. Although we did not finish as high as we had hoped, our team took the opportunity as a learning experience and worked together to make major improvements before our 2nd competition.

Minnesota North Star Regional – Minneapolis, MN:

Our performance at the North Star regional was far superior to that of LSR. We ranked 22nd out of 54 teams, and won 5 of our 10 qualification matches. We were lucky enough to be selected by the #1 seeded alliance, consisting of Team 3130, The ERRORs, and Team 2175, The Fighting Calculators, to compete alongside them in the playoff matches. We were able to make our way through the quarterfinals and semifinals, and ended up as regional finalists, even earning a wildcard to compete at the world championships later that year.

World Championships – Detroit, MI:

2018 was the first year in our teams 10 years of existence that we qualified for the world championships. Despite knowing we wouldn’t do well, we were all ecstatic to have the chance to attend the competition and compete alongside some of the best FRC teams in the world. Although we ranked 52nd of 67 teams, it was an unforgettable experience, and has given us even more motivation to work harder and qualify again in the 2019 season.
