Thanks to Amazon’s generous donations, we have the wonderful opportunity to provide Amazon Trailers to transport robots from the midwest to Houston for the Worlds Championship! This will provide sustainable, accessible transportation for all in our region who quality for Worlds. Fill out our form to give us your information and apply. Specific details will appear on this page later. We have three locations, please indicate your preference. (Please note we cannot guarantee a specific location.) 

FAQs:

  • What are the departure and arrival dates from MN?
    • The exact dates are TBA and location dependent, but departure will be either the evening of April 12th or 13th. Arrival back in MN will be on April 22nd, with a TBA pick-up window.
  • How much will it cost our team to have our robot and things brought in a trailer to Champs?
    • Thanks to the generous donation of trailers by Amazon Freight, this is a completely free opportunity! In fact, your team will be saving over $2500 by taking advantage of an Amazon Trailer.
  • How much space is our team allotted?
    • Your team is allowed 40 square feet of space, up to 9 feet high. NO PALLETS ARE ALLOWED.
  • How should we pack our things?
    • All of your supplies should be labeled with your team number. Please stack heavier items on the bottom and lighter things on the top, then shrink wrap around everything. NO PALLETS ARE ALLOWED.
  • What are the goals of the project?
    • Chicken Bot Pie’s goals for the Amazon Trailer project are to make it cheaper, easier, and more sustainable for teams to attend Champs. In total, the project will save over 7,000 kilograms of CO2.
